DYRT COUNTRY
What lies in the periphery of life?
What grime do you have on your hands, or your heart?
What price are you willing to pay for power unlike any other?
What are you willing to do to stop those who have nothing to lose?
What do you do when you experience something beyond reason and logic as you know it?
These are the kinds of questions you must ask yourself when you are confronted with Dyrt.
Dyrt Country is a "psuedo-science fiction" hack for Cthulhu Dark, originally made by Graham Walmsley.
This takes heavy inspiration from such things as:
- d20 Dark Matter, from which I stole the term "psuedo-science fiction" from and plenty of other stuff
- The X-Files, which set the template for so many types of stories to be told
- Delta Green, which is incredibly compelling and inspired me to inhabit my niche for "modern supernatural conspiracy horror"
- Chronicles Of Darkness, which I have always had a soft spot for and have perused files for hours on end for juicy bits
- Unknown Armies, another game that I love to set my eyes upon for weirdness
- Cthulhu Deep Green, and by extension Cthulhu Dark, which caused me to fall in love with the mechanics near instantaneously and write this
